About Us

Rice Lake Elementary is a community that teaches the traits of having respect, acting responsible, working together, keeping positive and striving to do your best to create a safe and positive culture. Our school community strives to meet social, emotional and academic needs, and increase learning for all students. We are located in Lino Lakes on the edge of the scenic Rice Creek Watershed. The school serves more than 600 students and also houses the district’s Early Childhood Center that was designed and built specifically with early learners in mind.

One of the best things about Rice Lake Elementary is that it’s not the beautiful building and setting that makes it a great place; it’s what happens on the inside. Our students are guided by a dedicated, caring, and hardworking staff who function as a team and are committed to growing and working alongside students.

Rice Lake Elementary also has an incredibly supportive community and we are surrounded by excellent parents who work in partnership with us to support their student.

Innovation

Beyond technology, our staff are encouraged to try new ideas and techniques to best engage students. When using technology, it isn’t about the device, but about how it can allow students to dive deeper into learning.

Community Involvement

Our parents and the community are vital components to the success of our school. From volunteering throughout the building, to attending one of the many community events hosted by the school, our goal and focus is opening our doors and connecting with our community.
