Meet the Principal
From the Principal
Welcome to Rice Lake Elementary!
Rice Lake is a K-5 elementary school with 600 plus students. We are located on the scenic Rice Creek Watershed with many wonderful outdoor activities, walking paths and nature centers.
My name is Bryan Carlson and I am honored to be the principal of Rice Lake Elementary. Let me be the first to welcome you. At Rice Lake, we have students who excel academically, are good citizens and are willing to serve and support others in need. We have a strong feeling and passion that all students can be successful. Some examples of this include our strong state testing scores in reading, math and science. In addition, our students support good causes such as Pennies for Patients, the Food Shelf and many more. Our students work under the direction of a dedicated, caring and hard working staff. Teachers will spend many hours planning, preparing and teaching your children to learn.
Along with our excellent students and staff, we have amazing parents who put in numerous volunteer hours. We also have a fabulous Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). They support children and their learning at Rice Lake with a variety of experiences. They include enrichment activities including fine arts, writing residencies, assemblies, technology and more. In addition, they provide many family opportunities throughout the year including Bingo night, sock hop, school carnival, book fairs and many others. All in all, we are very proud of our school and the entire Rice Lake community!
We would be thrilled to have you come and visit our school. Please feel free to contact me to set up a time where we can show you all of the opportunities we have for children. You can do this by calling the Rice Lake office at 763-792-5702.
We hope you enjoy the rest of the website and thanks so much for taking time to learn about Rice Lake Elementary and Centennial Schools!
